Auto racing was ingrained in my soul some 50 years ago with the first smell of castor oil, sounds of an Offy, and the rooster tails. Since then racing has been a family affair. Our sons are racing photographers and my wife is a scorer. Over the years, being a photographer at Indianapolis, Daytona, Darlington, Talladega, ARCA series, USAC series, and many more tracks has given an inside view of my favorite sport. Being a friend of racers has opened the door to many fascinating experiences. Hunter Trauma Team was with ARCA, USAC, and SCCA Pro-Racing for several years and we traveled from coast to coast. Offering medical care for the race, race teams and officials was a tremendous experience. Presenting the Raceology segment on FOX Midwest TV further added to gaining membership into the racing fraternity.
RACING USA on Genesis Communication Network goes to the grass roots of racing. There are over 1000 short tracks being used every week and little information is told on a national level. By spotlighting a different track weekly and discussing the leaders of the various divisions, RACING USA opens the airwaves nationally. Rising stars are interviewed so the audience will have heard their story before the drivers make it to the big time. Racing Legends are not to be forgotten. To hear the stories of their successes and failures should bring them closer to the audience. Race results from around the USA provides the listening audience an opportunity to receive the results before reading them in the newspaper.
